In the time leading up to our arrival on Earth (or, being born) our soul family asks us what it is we would like to learn while we occupy this lifetime. Once we have given them our answer, soul contracts manifest to help us achieve the growth we are seeking.
For example, you might have wished to learn how to be kind. Instead of having your life filled with kind-minded individuals, you will be faced with individuals who test your capacity for kindness. It may manifest as opportunities to help those less fortunate than yourself or as people who who you nothing but anger and hate, to which you can only respond with love and kindness. It is always the opposite of what we are seeking that helps us grow the most in our journey.
This can be discouraging because these contracts test us in ways that make us want to give up. But, they do so to ensure that we muster up the necessary confidence to do what we know needs to be done. And of course, it’s not easy.
You don’t become wise, experienced, and grateful by having it easy in life. It is through the rough nature of growing pains that we are shaped into who become. The universe knows this, and will always have another lesson for you to learn once you have completed the one at hand. It will continue to test you so that you may keep growing in the areas of your soul that need the most growth.
One of the hardest parts to understand about soul contracts and growth is that it is often our friends who test us the most. They are the ones we allow to hurt us so that new opportunities for growth arise.
If life has been rough in one way or another lately, do not view it as bad luck--it is quite the opposite. It is a chance for you to learn and grow! Just like you’ve always wanted, even if you didn’t know it.
