Becoming fearless does not mean eliminating fear, but it means to take away its power to control our lives. Fear is the antithesis of freedom, and it is a natural feeling we all deal with.
We all have fears and we all have experienced it. It is something that we encounter on a daily basis that binds us into our own pool of thoughts. Fear of dying, fear of feeling, fear of committing, fear of the unknown and many more- in every phase of life, no matter where we are, just the way we gain good and bad experience, we gain fear too. However, we all react and deal with our fears differently. Some overpower it, and some let fear overpower them. But the truth of the matter is, just the way we need books to learn things, we need fear to know ourselves in depth.

Fear is the antithesis of freedom, and with every person, we meet in our lives, they tend to impose their fear on us. The more fear we have in us, the less is the possibility of freedom. Our outlook and our ways of dealing with different fear in our lives, tell a lot about the person we are, or the person we are becoming.
To imagine a life without fear is like imagining our childhood without our mother's scolding, which is not possible. However, fear has the power to stop us from trying things that are not within our comfort zone. We are afraid to try new things in life because we are too scared to break the comfortable monotony of our life. As soon as we realize what scares us, we try to push ourselves to come out of the rut we have been living in for a long time. Some of us fear waking up early in the morning because we are afraid to miss out on more comfortable sleep. However, once we learn how to let got the fear of missing out on that one hour of extra sleep, we push our boundaries and make a way for new changes and opportunities.
Acknowledging our fear is one of the most important things to do if we do not want our fears to control our lives. We all have weaknesses that we feel insecure about. Our weaknesses are a product of our fear, but at the same time, fear is a strong motivator and can be looked like as an important component of keeping us alive. It is because of the fear we are able to work hard every day in our office because we know the consequences of not being able to provide the bread and butter to our family.

Fear is healthy and is hardwired in our brain for good reason. It gives the courage to choose what is right for us when we are struggling to decide between two options. Courage comes when we realize that fear is stopping us from making some decisions that will benefit us. We can only enjoy courage if we have a sense of fear in ourselves. Whether it is the fear of being judged for the person we are, or it is the fear of not being able to speak up for ourselves, it is only then we are able to taste courage.
How many times do we see our friends boldly dealing with things that we fear the most? Diving into the sea, talking to a stranger or committing to the loved ones, these are things most of us fear only because we believe we aren't capable of accomplishing any of it. The moment we see someone else deriving fun and enjoying their lives by doing things that we fear shows us that we can do it too. There is nothing we cannot do if we listen to our instinct and not our fear. It that moment when we realize where we are lagging behind, and that's when we decide to bring a change.
Throughout our lives we have trapped ourselves in society's conventions, prejudices, biases, and beliefs, that stop us from being fearless. We train our minds to believe that fearing is good and is safer, however, soon we realize what's on the other side of the bridge. Soon we understand that the bridge is not as weak as we were told for a long time, and then we push ourselves to break all the norms and believes that has stopped us from living the life fully. We break the fear that has held us captive between the four walls of our own thoughts and soar higher. Freedom can only be attained when we have known what it feels like to fear to break the rules.
The way we react and deal with fear tells a lot about how we plan on leading our lives. There is some fear which we intend to ignore, and some fear that we tend to feed on us. But the truth is, no fear is good if unattended. In every phase of our lives, we will be the only person tackling our darkest fear alone. It is our responsibility to not let our fear overpower our mind and positive aspect of life. We feel accomplished and like a warrior every time we do something that we didn't imagine that we were capable to do. Therefore, the moment of realization that tells us 'we did it' is a big achievement, and therefore, we conceive our further lives based on the experiences we have had by not letting those fear control our minds.
