They have an excellent memory and have been seen in studies to be capable of warning fellow crows of danger.
It feels like I see crows pretty regularly where I live. The giant, black birds that look as menacing as they look regal, are always swooping down for snacks or sitting atop a high perch as they observe the happenings of their surroundings.
Many people believe they are symbolic of death, and while that might be the general consensus, they’re also symbolic of numerous other things that people usually aren’t aware of.
Crows are some of the smartest birds flying around today. The size of their brain compared to the size of their body is the same ratio that chimpanzees typically exhibit, which isn’t too far away from humans. They have an excellent memory and have been seen in studies to be capable of warning fellow crows of danger.
As we discussed earlier, death is the usual symbolism crows are known for. Throughout various tales and legends, the crow is the being that helps guide souls from the living world into the next world; the afterlife. Their inherently wise when it comes to death, change, and the cyclical nature of life. Seeing a crow can be a spiritual message or a warning.
If you notice any crows visiting the same house or area, it can be indicative that passing will take place there shortly.
Crows are also symbolic of change. When the crow is reaching out to us, we may experience sudden visions of who we are meant to be on the truest level. The crow sees our soul for exactly what it is. It knows what we’re capable of doing, and will remind us of our potential.
In that same capacity, the crow will encourage you to step outside of your comfort zone so that you can discover all that lies ahead of you.
The blackness of the crow is highly symbolic of the night, and the darkness from which all life is and creation are wrought. It is also a reminder that you carry with you this power to create the destiny (or life) that you want for yourself.
The appearance of a crow can also be a sign that you are gifted with clairvoyance, an extrasensory perception that lets you peer into the realm of spirits.
So, next time you see a crow, watch it, listen to it, observe its being. It is probably a sign. It is there to help you move forward in life, whatever that looks like for you. If you’re in the midst of a change, you will persevere, as long as you remain true to yourself.
