6 Signs That Show You Need To Change Your Life For The Better, Immediately

It was a waste of time then, and it will be a waste of time now if we become one of those people who live their lives waiting to break free.

It is not often that we ponder about where our life is heading. In the hustle and bustle of life, we train our minds to not think about serious things that will remind us about the monotony and rut we have been living in for a long time. We live our lives unaware of the positivity, potentials, and strength we possess because we are busy being lost for all the wrong reasons.

Most people waste their lives running after things that don't matter, just because they do not know what they want from their life. There are people who prefer staying in their comfort zones, and who wait for the right time to come, just to enjoy a moment in their lives. It was a waste of time then, and it will be a waste of time now if we become one of those people,  who live their lives waiting to break free. Just like any disease's symptoms, even this has early signs that hint at major changes we require in our lives before we find ourselves running on the wheel forever. So, here are the 6 signs which show that you are in a rut and need to take control right now!

1. You Are Confused About Your Priorities

If we have been living our lives recklessly, without putting efforts to know what are our priorities, then it is a major sign that calls for a change. Anyone who is unaware of their priorities is just like those infants, who want every candy in this world, but don't know which one tastes bitter or sour. Coherency in life can only be attained if we know what is at the top on our priority list. If priorities are not sorted, then we will soon find ourselves in the middle of nowhere, trying to balance, family, work, relationship and friends. And soon, things will fall apart.

2. Waiting For Weekends On Every Weekdays

It is understandable to wait for weekends, especially after working for five days vigorously. But, living through each day by waiting for ONLY for the weekends to come- just to enjoy the life we have, is not fair. We do not live our lives only for the weekends, but we live our life as a whole. Instead of waiting for the weekend to come, we should be able to make something productive of each day we are fortunate to witness. It all comes down to how we want to live our lives, balancing between our desires and necessities-both being of equal importance. We should be able to take time out for all those things we love, one day at a time, and we should make sure that we do something productive, even if it means sleeping for a long time.

3. You Spend Time With Unproductive People

We all have friends who are just like us: clueless and helpless. Friends like them are toxic to our lives, as they do not add to our productivity and positivity. True friends or companions are those who will encourage us at every point in time, to do something productive and beneficial with our lives. Wasting time is the easiest thing we have learned, but we haven't learned is the art of learning things from people who have more experiences than others, in terms of emotions, career, and life as a whole. We should be able to filter those friends or people who do not make us feel good about ourselves and does not help us in being the best version of ourselves.

4. You Feel Stuck Most Of The Time

One of the most exhausting feelings we all go through is not being able to find the answer to 'What's next?' If we have been feeling like our lives have become nothing but a realm of monotony then, that's a warning sign we need to acknowledge and change right away. Anything which continues to happen for a long time soon turns toxic. As Einstien believed  "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results”. If we want to break the monotony, we will have to break the clock we have been looking at, all this while that showed we have all the time in this world, though the truth is an antithesis of that.

5. You Don't Know What Makes You Happy

One of the saddest thing about not knowing what makes us happy is missing out on life big time. It is true that we cannot be happy all the time, but it is also true that we can only be happy if we know what makes us feel good. Even though happiness is a subjective term, but if we don't know what makes us happy, or what do we want in life, then we have been living the wrong way all this while. Only if we know what makes us happy, we will be able to let others make us happy. The day we are not able to answer our own question of 'what makes us happy? That's the day we need to check and bring the change before everything feels futile to us.

6. You Have Started Feeling Envious Of Others

Jealousy is normal, only when the other person has something of ours. However, what is not normal is the fact that we feel jealous when we see others doing good in their lives and are happy and sound. It might happen because we see others living the life we want to, but aren't doing much for it. We should be able to motivate ourselves, and not feel low and disheartened for all the good things that are happening with our friends. Because, at the end of it, we are responsible for all the things are we are going through in life. Even in the darkest of time, it is up to us, what we choose. Being jealous of others is not a good sign, and we should immediately start doing something that will help us to do things that we want.
